Pastor N J Rich, Th.D. (born June, 1957) came to First Baptist Church of Asbury Park in August of 2004 from the Pacific Northwest. He holds Bachelors, Masters and a Doctoral degree in Theology, with an emphasis in Greek language studies.

Pastor N J, as he is known to his congregation, has been in the ministry since 1986, serving in Colorado, Oregon, and Washington state. He is a gifted expositor who genuinely loves those whom he has been called to pastor. Through his faithful ministry, God has blessed First Baptist with a deep unity and spiritual as well as numerical growth. His wife, Terry, is a loving and gifted helpmeet, who is especially talented in graphic design and who has created tracts, calendars and witnessing tools for the flock.
